Hebrew language plays a major role in the students’ learning and is a tool for understanding limudei kodesh (religious studies) as well as appreciating Zionism and the Jewish religion, and Israel’s language and culture.
Kadimah's Hebrew course integrates four areas of language development: Reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students are exposed to daily life in Israel through conversations and texts, and are encouraged to use the vocabulary taught. In Hebrew literature, we cover stories related to holidays as well as a short novel. Students are also expected to gain an understanding of Hebrew grammar, such as verb patterns and the noun system.
Students are grouped by ability and have the opportunity to advance at their own pace.
